James & Henry’s Brooklyn Botanic Garden Wedding
It has been a busy, busy week over here with lots of editing that had to get done. I would be remiss, however, if I didn’t give a giant shout out to the fact that the Supreme Court that has wisely chosen to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide. And just in time for Pride Week too! To celebrate, I am sharing with you some #FlashbackFriday photos from James and Henry’s Brooklyn Botanic Garden wedding. Enjoy!
The wedding took place in the Rose Garden of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, and it was one of the sweetest ceremonies I have ever witnessed. Not a dry eye in the house. James and Henry are a beautiful couple from the UK who deserve all the happiness in the world. It was a small group in attendance mainly from the UK, but they certainly traveled a long way to get there.
And speaking of traveling, James and Henry decided to hire an old fashioned NYC taxi cab to get them from the hotel to the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Alas, fate intervened and the taxi broke down in Brooklyn before we could arrive. Well, at least we got some great photos out of it!
By the way, the couple got ready at the Chatwal Hotel in midtown. If you have never been to the hotel, I invite you to go for a drink at the bar. The hotel has one of the best art deco interiors in NYC. The staff could not have been more accommodating, and allowed us to take photos in the empty bar space. I would love to do another shoot there. Enjoy the pics, and have a great weekend!
