Helen & Grant’s City Hall Wedding Photos
It was such a pleasure to photograph Helen and Grant yesterday down at the Manhattan Marriage Bureau! They came all the way over from England to tie the knot, and their City Hall wedding photos prove that it was worth the commute. Check out the images and get some details on their nuptials in today’s blog post.
The day started at the SoHo Grand Hotel, where Helen, Grant and their families were staying while in NYC. We took a few photos in the hotel room, before going down to the main bar. The boys enjoyed one final toast before we headed to City Hall.
Once there, we found City Hall to not be too crowded. The officiant for the day was wonderfully kind, and the ceremony went off without a hitch. Afterwards, we took a few photos on the steps of the New York County Supreme Court building. [2020 edit: The steps of the building are always blocked off for security now, so photos on the steps are no longer possible.]
Helen and Grant also wanted their City Hall wedding photos to include the iconic Statue of Liberty. So we took a cab, and headed down to Battery Park. Although rain was threatening overhead, the clouds cut down on the intense highlights and we were able to score some gorgeous photos along the waterfront.
