A few raindrops couldn’t stop the party that was Julia and Jason’s wedding yesterday! The band rocked, the food was great, and the groom even got tossed in the air as the bride belted out ‘Livin’ on a Prayer.’ Get all the details and more for this American Yacht Club wedding in today’s blog post.
The bride got ready in her parents’ Greenwich, Connecticut home, while the groom got ready at the venue. The first look happened under cover of the back patio at the American Yacht Club. Speaking of cover, the tent on the back lawn came in handy as the rain started to fall during the ceremony.
A few notable items from yesterday’s event: first, high praise must be given to Julia’s grandmother who became ordained in order to serve as yesterday’s officiant. ‘Gram’ brought down the house with her words of wisdom. Favors for the guests included personalized bottle openers and beer koozies (as modeled by the bridal party below). Finally, hats off to Dartmouth alumni for their traditional vaulting of the groom.
