Annabelle & Nate’s Harvard Club Wedding
The Harvard Club wedding of Annabelle and Nate was one of the most fun events I photographed this season. Annabelle and Nate hail from Albania and Armenia, and this translates into fantastic dancing. The couple even had a belly dancer at their reception plus a beautiful ballad sung by the groom to surprise his bride and serenade her on the dance floor. Let’s get all the details in today’s blog post.
The ceremony was held at the Shrine of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, right by the Staten Island Ferry terminal downtown. It’s a lovely, small chapel with gorgeous light streaming in through the stained glass windows.
The reception was held at the always impeccably staffed Harvard Club. This wedding marks my first event with an actual belly dancer! As a nod to both family traditions, Annabelle and Nate pulled out all the stops with the entertainment. The crowd was definitely in to it, and just about everyone hit the dance floor. In addition to belly dancing, the performer also did a fantastic sword dance. At the end of the evening, Nate surprised Annabelle by serenading her on the dance floor. Enjoy the pics, and make sure to check out the groom dancing with a full glass of wine on top of his head!
