Melody & Michael’s Roosevelt Island Engagement
The busy wedding season is upon us! This weekend will bring the joyous nuptials of Melody and Michael at the India House. I’m thrilled to be photographing this lovely couple, and wanted to share with you photos from their Roosevelt Island engagement shoot.
Melody and Michael live on Roosevelt Island, so this shoot was near and dear to their heart. If you have not been to Roosevelt Island, you have to go. The tram trip alone is worth it. The island really is an undiscovered gem, especially for photography shoots: it offers fantastic views of the New York City skyline and has some of the best cherry blossoms in the city during the season. In addition, Roosevelt Island has a blend of different backgrounds to offer any photo shoot. From parks and recreation areas, to antique architecture (smallpox hospital, anyone?) and modern infrastructure (the FDR Four Freedoms Park).
Roosevelt Island seems to grow more with every year, adding more restaurants, shops, and places to visit. Check out the photos, and consider Roosevelt Island for your next shoot. #ILoveRooseveltIsland
