Aadhya & Aarav’s Thank You Card Photos
Allow me to introduce you to Aadhya and Aarav, a super fun couple whose wedding I cannot wait to photograph at City Hall on Monday! But first, we have some business to take care of: Aadhya and Aarav wanted to take photos to create thank you cards for their guests. Their wish is my command, so in today’s blog post, I have all the thank you card photos from our session.
I met with Aadhya and Aarav on Thursday afternoon to go over their ‘homework’ — the logistics checklist I have clients fill out before their big day. Together we went over every aspect of the wedding from getting ready pics at the Viceroy Hotel to the ceremony and finally, the reception at Utsav Restaurant in midtown. I’m already hungry for the great Indian food that’s on the menu.
After our meeting, I took a few quick shots of Aadhya and Aarav for them to create thank you cards for their guests. This is a fantastic idea which I encourage all couples to think about before their wedding. The thank you card photos can be taken during your engagement shoot or even on your wedding day itself. It is all just a matter of pre-planning and bringing with you the right props, as necessary.
Your thank you cards are a chance to really express yourself as a couple and your heartfelt thoughts for your guests so feel free to get silly and show your personality. In Aadhya and Aarav’s case, they wanted to capture the feel of NYC since they both traveled so far to be here — he lives in London and she lives in Ethiopia.
By the way, no special props or signs are needed for your thank you signs. Aadhya and Aarav simply asked their hotel — the Sheraton Tribeca — for a few pieces of paper and a marker. Voilà! Instant thank you signs.
Enjoy the pics, and stay tuned for photos from Aadhya and Aarav’s wedding! I’ll be posting these on Tuesday. Until then, have a great weekend and best of luck to these two as the final countdown begins…
