Christmas has come early to my house, and I am so happy to announce that I have been featured as one of the photographers in the “Pass the Tissues” essay by editor Maura Walters.  Many thanks again to Catherine and Wes, whose wedding is pictured.

This photo was taken at Catherine and Wes’ reception, right after the conclusion of the tea ceremony.  During the ceremony, the couple offers tea and their utmost respect and thanks to family and close friends by quite literally offering them cups of tea.  The couple in turn are gifted with gold items.  The ceremony is specific to the Fujian province of China, where Catherine’s family is based.  You can read more about the ceremony here.
