Kelly Williams Published in New York Magazine Weddings!
Happy Veteran’s Day to everyone! I hope you all are having a great week, and have had the chance to perhaps pick up the latest issue of Weddings by New York Magazine!
Christmas has come early to my house, and I am so happy to announce that I have been featured as one of the photographers in the “Pass the Tissues” essay by editor Maura Walters. Many thanks again to Catherine and Wes, whose wedding is pictured.
This photo was taken at Catherine and Wes’ reception, right after the conclusion of the tea ceremony. During the ceremony, the couple offers tea and their utmost respect and thanks to family and close friends by quite literally offering them cups of tea. The couple in turn are gifted with gold items. The ceremony is specific to the Fujian province of China, where Catherine’s family is based. You can read more about the ceremony here.
So, if you are planning a wedding, or even just a party, check out the latest issue of Weddings by New York Magazine. The list of vendors in the back (which includes me!) has been vetted by the editors, and runs the gamut in terms of services and prices. No matter if you are looking for a high-end calligrapher or a value-priced BBQ food truck, you’ll find it all in Weddings. On newsstands now!
Enjoy these memories Catherine and Wes’ wedding in June of 2012. Ceremony held at the Merchant’s House Museum, and reception at Congee Village on Bowery.
