I am so pleased to introduce Hillary and Michael, whose lovely wedding I shot yesterday in Brooklyn. Their ceremony was truly a family affair, and took place in the backyard of the brownstone which has been in their family since the 1940s. The reception followed on the next day at the Harvard Club. Details below!
Having your ceremony separate from your reception is a wonderful way to keep your vows private, while still celebrating your wedding with family and friends. In the case of Hillary and Michael, the reception was an intimate affair in the family backyard. While the flower girl was a bit hesitant to walk down the aisle, she finally made her debut. Hillary’s sister served as officiant, and there was a wonderful candle lighting ceremony that included every guest. Bubbles and champagne followed (plus a little apple cider for the flower girl).
The reception was a much larger affair at the Harvard Club, but still overflowing with warmth for the couple. The highlight of the night was the hora dance that brought the entire group together. Enjoy the photos!
