News Round Up: Holiday Cards, Dates to Remember, Places I’ll Be Visiting Soon

I’m using today’s blog as a news roundup to let everyone know about some important upcoming calendar dates.

Family Portraits for Holiday Cards – Book Now!

First and foremost: if you are interested in scheduling a family portrait for your holiday card, then NOW is the time to book a session. My weekends between now and Thanksgiving are almost completely booked. As you may know, October is a very popular month for weddings so that takes out most of my weekends already, and there is only so much time before Thanksgiving, which is the traditional time to mail out holiday cards.

Album Printing Deadline for Christmas is November 5

Also, if you are interested in purchasing a photo album or parent album from your wedding or portrait session, then you should know that November 5 is the cut off date for my printer – Couture Books. Ordering by November 5 is the only way to insure that your album is printed in time for it to find a place under your Christmas tree. I just completed an album for my clients Samantha and Brian, and their Munich-style album turned out beautiful! The album included an image wrap cover with matching fold over, magnetic flap. The album was 100 sides, or 50 pages in length.

I’m Heading South to Florida…

Finally, the impending cold weather has me already booking tickets to Florida. I’ll be in Tampa, Florida to visit my family for the holidays, December 15 through January 5. If you will be in the area during that time, then by all means look me up! I love to meet with clients in the off-season, and who wouldn’t be interested in a family portrait on the beach while the rest of New York City shovels snow?

In further Florida news, I have the pleasure of announcing I will also be in Florida January 25 through 30 to photograph the wedding of my cousin, Randy, and his fiancé, Bita. I’ll have all the photos from that wedding in the future. In case you’re wondering, I’m always looking for opportunity to come back home to Florida or any other southern location, so if you are having a wedding, family event, or want to schedule a portrait, then please give me a call. I would love to chat with you to see how we can make a long-distance photo session happen.

…And to Other Exotic Lands!

And speaking of long distances, I have some exciting international travel plans coming up for 2018. First, I will be in Thailand, January 9 through 24, to photograph a wedding. I will be starting my trip in Phuket and moving my way up north to Chiang Rai. During my trip I would love to connect with couples, families, other photographers and artists, or models. So if you know anyone in the area, give me a call.

Finally, I am putting the finishing touches on planning a trip to Vietnam and Cambodia which will have me traveling February 14 through the middle of March. No better place to celebrate Valentine’s Day, than Angkor Wat if you ask me. If you have traveled to any of these countries, let’s get together and chat. I am always looking for travel advice and trip recommendations. Vanessa – of Governors Island engagement shoot Vanessa and Nate – was kind enough to share with me the itinerary for her honeymoon which included Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan. Thanks Vanessa!

Next week I’ll have photos from a wedding at City Hall that I am shooting tomorrow, as well as photos from Nancy and Jeff’s adventure to Comic Con where these two were adorably in love, and in costume. Can you feel that Halloween is right around the corner?
