I am happy to introduce to you Aadhya and Aarav — a super fun couple whose wedding I cannot wait to shoot at City Hall on Monday! We met Thursday afternoon to go over their ‘homework’ — the logistics checklist I have clients fill out before their big day. Together we went over every aspect of the wedding from getting ready pics at the Viceroy Hotel to the ceremony and finally, the reception at Utsav Restaurant in midtown. I’m already hungry for the great Indian food that’s on the menu.
After our meeting, I took a few quick shots of Aadhya and Aarav for them to create thank you cards for their guests. This is a fantastic idea which I encourage all couples to think about before their wedding. The thank you photos can be taken during your engagement shoot or even on your wedding day itself.
Be as creative as you can with your thank you photo ideas! This is a chance to really express yourself as a couple and your heartfelt thoughts for your guests. In Aadhya and Aarav’s case, they wanted to capture the feel of NYC since they both traveled so far to be here — he lives in London and she lives in Ethiopia.
Speaking of Ethiopia, check out this adorable hand-woven container that Aadhya brought me from Ethiopia! I love all things colorful, and this is the perfect addition to my apartment.
By the way, no special props or signs are needed as evidenced here. Aadhya and Aarav simply asked their hotel — the Sheraton Tribeca — for a few pieces of paper and a marker. Voilà! Instant thank you signs.
Enjoy the pics, and stay tuned for photos from Aadhya and Aarav’s wedding! I’ll be posting these on Tuesday. Until then, have a great weekend and best of luck to these two as the final countdown begins…
