I am always in search of ways to make things easier for my clients. Last year I began using a new online gallery system so clients could share photos in an efficient, mobile-friendly manner. The system, run by Pixieset, has worked superbly for a year, and I have now expanded my use of the galleries so that clients can receive all of their photos directly through their online gallery. (No more Dropbox.). Find out all the ins and outs of using the Pixieset online gallery system in today’s blog post
Merry Christmas, everyone! I wanted to end the year by wishing everyone the happiest of holidays as the year draws to a close. This year has been a wonderful chance to meet new clients (such as the Hamilton clan, Chris & Rob, and the Milan family), photograph many new venues (such as the Larchmont Shore Club, the Montauk Lighthouse, and Terrace on the Park), and reconnect with past clients. I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season celebrating with your families. I am currently in Florida with my own family and will be here through February.
Drumroll, please!….I am thrilled to announce the publication of my new website, www.KellyWilliamsCorporate.com.
It may still feel like winter in New York, but believe it or not, the cherry blossoms are beginning to bloom. I visited Flushing Meadows Corona Park today for a venue visit, and here is my report on the cherry blossoms in Queens.
I’m using today’s blog as a news roundup to let everyone know about some important upcoming calendar dates.
Wanna know a secret? The spontaneous photos you see in my portfolio aren’t always quite so spontaneous. The trick for setting yourself up for wedding photojournalism success is to make sure that you take care of the details beforehand. Enjoy a peek behind the curtain and find out how I capture every moment as well as all the details of Vanessa and Nate’s Maritime Parc wedding!
Anyone care to join me? I am going to (temporarily) become a North Carolina photographer when I go to visit family, June 26 to July 7. I cannot wait to be with my mother and cousins, not to mention the therapeutic change of scenery. And of course, I am looking forward to bringing back lots of photos hikes along the Blue Ridge Mountains. While technically this trip is vacation, I am always looking to keep busy. If you know of anyone in the Asheville/Highlands area who is interested in an engagement or family portrait session, or just another artist looking to collaborate, have them give me a ring! My idea of a vacation involves packing every lens I own plus a few changes of clothes. Always be photographing, I say.
Thinking about having a costumed affair for your wedding? Well, apparently the readers of the New York Post are. The paper contacted me last week looking for photos of weddings in which the guests came in costume. Of course I pointed them straight to the Halloween themed wedding of Alyssa and Mohan, whose reception perfectly fit the bill. While the couple actually tied the knot down at City Hall, the reception was held at the New Hyde Park Inn, and yes, guests arrived in costume to a tasteful, sophisticated Halloween party. Everyone looked great. Check out the photos, and I’ll have more details later.
I have some exciting news to share on the marketing front: a new logo, a new website, and new changes over all. Here are all the details.
