I had a blast photographing the wedding of Rebecca and Massimo yesterday at the Alger House. Rebecca promised there would be lots of fun Italians present, and she didn’t let me down. The ceremony was simple yet sincere, and included a hand blessing ceremony where the couple clasps hands for a blessing in the ancient Roman tradition. The rings somehow were misplaced — but no matter — several of the 35 guests offered rings of their own to the couple.
A few things to note about the wedding details: the bride’s belt and the beautiful orb decorations were handmade by the bride’s close friend. As favors to the guests, Rebecca and Massimo offered jordan almonds — a.k.a. Italian confetti — a tip of the hat to Massimo’s Italian roots. Enjoy the pics, and drop me a line if you’re getting married and want to find out more about the photography you see here.
